Removing Sound Deadening

In preparation for the cars upcoming paint job I started removing the factory sound deadening from my floor pan this weekend. I really underestimated just how much work it was to do this as it taken about 6 (slack) hours so far and i still have to clean up all the left over bits on the floor (power tools are involved with this part though!).

For anyone else that is planning to do this job I can highly suggest you purchase a bag of dry ice as it makes the job much easier. You just leave the bag on a spot that you want to remove and it freezes it and makes it brittle so you just hit it and it all cracks off in one peice. Another thing that comes in handy for the gluey parts on the transmission tunnel is a heat gun as this will melt the glue so that you can simply scrape the deadening off.

In other news I have placed a deposit down on an R33 halfcut that I should have early next month :D. Anyway heres pics of this weeks progress:
